Direct Thermal Labels

The primary benefit of using direct thermal labels is economy and simplicity.

The cost of direct thermal labels is generally less than the cost of using thermal transfer labels and the required ribbon. The direct thermal label system does not use a ribbon and this can be an important advantage especially if your printer is located in a hostile environment or if your operators must wear gloves.

The stock we use for our direct thermal labels is a high sensitivity thermal product for use in thermal printers. This product features a bright white face stock that is top-coated for optimum environmental resistance. Used in a variety of applications for industrial and retail establishments. We recommend the use of direct thermal labels for applications where:

• The label life is to be one year or less
• The label will not be exposed to continuous, direct sunlight
• The label will not be exposed to high temperatures
